One less Bostik League derby for Bracknell Town next season

The Robins have lost one of their neighbours to the Southern League

According to the Bostik League website there will be one less derby next season as the ramifications from the closure of Shaw Lane hit home.

Fleet Town have been transferred to the Southern League after the Barnsley Club withdrew from the Evo Stik on Friday.

The North Hampshire side would have been one of the local fixtures for Bracknell next season in the Bostik South Central along with Egham Town and Marlow and they will now come up against Essex side FC Romania who have been promoted.

A statement on the Bostik site says: “In relation to our operations, Fleet Town will transfer to Southern League South West, and we will be joined by the side who finished in third place in the Essex Senior League, FC Romania- who will play in our South Central Division.”
