You’ll know by now that promotion in non league football isn’t as simple as three up and three down, there’s an entire pyramid of admin to get through based around geography, travel times and ground shares before anyone knows exactly which competition they will play in in any given season.
Bracknell Town we understand following a tweet by the Bostik Isthmian League (previously known as the Ryman League) will learn which step 4 division they will compete in on Friday morning – that’s the 11th May.

Which league will Bracknell be in?
We’ve long been under the impression that Bracknell will go in to the the Southern League, from where they came at the end of the 2009/10 season.
However, back in February the Non League Paper published a graphic boundary guide for step 4 which clearly shows the Robins returning to the Isthmian League they last played in back in 2003/04.
Elsewhere, the reliable and excellent spreadsheet produced every season by Non League Matters forum contributor Wazzafan has Bracknell in the Evo Stik Southern League Division 1 East. You can see the spreadsheet here.
One thing is certain, the Bracknell and Thatcham Town rivalry won’t be renewed next season. We’ll see you on Friday for the big news!
