Following the news that Finchampstead look set to leave the Hellenic League over ongoing uncertainty about their membership due to ground grading, we thought we’d ask you what you expect from a step 6 (Hellenic League Division 1 East level) ground.

A number of teams at that level have the minimum fenced off pitch but no hard standing or floodlights – elements that are required for the grade G that the Football Association are looking to enforce.

The majority of responses to our post on twitter suggested that football at step 6 didn’t always have it’s priorities right so we thought we would ask those of you who play and attend matches at that level of the Non-League Pyramid if fences and stands and lights really mattered.
