Bracknell Town’s winger Dan Roberts has been nominated for a Bracknell Football Award after a steller season for the Robins under 21 side.
Roberts scored 19 league goals in 15 games during Bracknell’s Suburban League Division 1 South season including a glut of hat tricks and this fine free kick at Larges Lane.
Overall in the Suburban League Roberts scored 29 goals and will be the spearhead in the Robins Shield Final against Met Police Reserves on Tuesday night.
He had a late run in the Bracknell first team making five appearances and was impressive in Mark Tallentire’s sides Berks & Bucks County Cup Final win over Binfield – a match he started.

In terms of nominations for the Young Player of the Year award which his has been nominated for alongside Ascot United Ladies Amy Woollard, we’ve received messages full of praise for the young winger from his team mates and supporters of the club which include: “Dan puts his heart and soul into football and brings the team together. He makes the football game so much more exciting with the goals he takes and I go every match to watch him. Team player and definitely the best player of the team by far this season.”
Another comment we received reads: “Consistently great and match winning performances for Bracknell under 21s, 27 goals scored to date and the leagues top scorer plus important contributions to the first team this season (eg in county cup final v Binfield). He’s an exciting prospect for the future!”
