Bracknell Town lost influential midfielder Jamie McClurg and captain Carl Davies on Tuesday night after both were dismissed in the 4-1 defeat at Ardley United that puts a serious dent in the Robins title and promotion ambitions.
Co-editor Darrell Freeland armed with his experience as a former club secretary has joined the dots on what both players forthcoming suspensions ‘should’ mean for Bracknell this season – but please be aware the following hinges on several unknown facts like what the booking was for and the length of suspension which is yet to be revealed.
Here’s what we know:

Both suspensions will start Tuesday 4th April.
If McClurg is one game ban then he will miss the Highworth Town game only.
Two games would see him miss Berks & Bucks County Cup Final against Binfield too.
A dismissal for two bookable offences is usually a one game ban but a dismissal for a straight red card would usually carry a two or more games ban – all depends on the offence.
Davies will definitely miss the Highworth game and County Cup Final.
He has already been sent off twice this season so that automatically gets two games added to his tally.
Even just a one game ban for an offence would see him miss three games.
