Wokingham & Emmbrook striker Tom Williams will end the day in hospital after suffering a shoulder injury during the Sumas Reading Senior Cup tie with Woodley United.

Williams – who returned to Wokingham this season after a short spell with Binfield – was injured mid way through the second half of the tie which was level at 0-0 at Lowther Road.

The loss of Sumas top scorer Williams will be a big blow for Wokingham & Emmbrook boss Clive McNelly who had already seen fellow forward Matt Booth (he of six goals in 30 minutes fame) go off with a head injury earlier in the game.

The FiB team would like to wish Tom a speedy recovery.
