Woodley United in County Cup semi-finals as favourites suffer knocked out

Woodley United defeated North Bucks Premier Division side Great Horwood 5-0 in the Berks & Bucks County Intermediate Cup quarter-finals to move in to the last four.

According to United manager Michael Herbert it is the furthest the club has reached in the competition and the Kestrels will be one of the favourites to lift the trophy after favourites Penn & Tylers Green were knocked out and Hellenic Division 1 East rivals Didcot Town Reserves also suffered defeat.

Division 1 East leaders Penn & Tylers Green crashed out on penalties to Spartan South Midlands League Division 1 side Risborough Rangers after their fixture finished 0-0, and Didcot were beaten 3-2 at home by Thames Valley Premier Division leaders Marlow United 3-2.

The draw for the next round is usually made the Monday after the fixtures so we would expect to see the semi-finals listed this afternoon.

  • Kintbury Rangers
  • Marlow United
  • Risborough Rangers
  • Wendover
