Hellenic Premier League strugglers Burnham have appointed yet another management team in an attempt to avoid a second successive relegation.

Slough Town Academy manager Mark Betts and former Bracknell Town and Ascot United attacker Jon Palmer have been appointed at the Gore with a view to lifting the Blues off the bottom of the table.

David Tuttle, Luther Blissett, Paul Toms and Gifton Noel-Williams have all taken the managerial role this season but it looks like Blissett’s time with the club is at an end after the Slough Express reported the former England international had been ‘blindsided’.

The move is expected to increase the relationship between Southern Premier Slough and Burnham, but Blissett has tweeted several times suggesting he knew nothing about the move.

The Slough Express reports: “Burnham confirmed the news in a statement and chairman Gary Reeves said ‘I speak on behalf of the board when I say that Mark and Jon’s appointment as joint first team managers is not only a positive stride forward for the club, but also an very exciting one.

‘This also enhances the close links with Slough Town and forms a solid base to build on with our near neighbours.’
