Binfield youth team play only their second Allied Counties Youth League South Division tie of the season this evening when they welcome Knaphill to Stubbs Lane (ko 7.45pm).
The Moles won their league opener 16 days ago when they beat Windsor under 18s 6-1, but exited the league cup last week when they were defeated 3-1 by Premier Division Harefield United.
Binfield’s young man of the moment Luke Hayden (number 12 in the Colin Byers image above) scored a hat-trick in that 6-1 win and the forward should be in the squad for tonight’s tie.
Bracknell Town
Dan Sleet’s Bracknell Town side made it two wins and two defeats on Monday night in the same division when they beat Windsor 6-1. The previous week the Robins had defeated Alton Town 3-1 – a superb turnaround after losing the first two games of the season and conceding 13 goals in the process.
There’s a bit of a break now for Sleet’s youngsters who don’t play again until the 13th October.
Ascot United
In the Allied Counties Youth Football League Premier Division are holding their own with a win and defeat from their opening two games.
James Goodey and Aaron Maggs scored for the Yellamen as they defeated Harefield 2-1 and the next outing is Thursday night when Marlow are the visitors to the Racecourse Ground.
