Maidenhead United earn support of Marlow based Travelbag

Vanarama National League Maidenhead United have announced a new partnership with Marlow-based travel agents, Travelbag.

Founded in 1870, Maidenhead United FC is one of the oldest football clubs in England, but despite its historic heritage, the team may be getting a new boost as a result of a recently announced sponsorship with tailor-made travel agent, Travelbag.

Since the opening of their shop in Marlow at the beginning of 2024, the Travelbag team has helped the local residents reach far off shores with tailor-made travel experiences, and as a result of this success, have chosen to partner with the Maidenhead United FC team due to their shared community spirit.

Natalie Watson, Brand and Campaigns Marketing Manager at Travelbag, commented:

Travelbag is proud to partner with MUFC as we love their passion – not only for the game, but also for the local community. With a rich heritage spanning 150 years, we are keen to kick start our partnership, share our stories and passion for travel to the football community.”

The partnership can be seen celebrated not only by a new advertising board fixed in pride of place in the team’s ground, but also in the match programmes of the men’s and women’s first team.

Sian Lancaster, Commercial Partnership Manager at Maidenhead United FC, commented on the sponsorship:

“We are so excited to be partnering with Travelbag this season, and for the chance to add them to our long line of historic sponsors.

“With our shared love for the local community, we believe that this partnership will allow us to further support both our players and chosen charities throughout 2025.”

Travelbag joins a well-respected group of businesses as part of this sponsorship. Sitting with the likes of A.B. Walker, A Happy Place and Gardner Leader, as well as many more.
