Bobby Wilkinson back to Bracknell Town? Southern League side confirm rumours

Former boss set to return

Former manager Bobby Wilkinson could be set for a return to Southern League Premier Division South Bracknell Town if rumours are to be believed.

Wilkinson – most recently with Hemel Hempstead Town – has been out of football since departing the Vanarama National League South side in December.

Update: Bobby Wilkinson confirmed as Bracknell Town’s new manager

A statement earlier on Tuesday revealed that chairman Andy Hunt had decided not to continue with a purchase of the Robins and that the clubs stewardship would revert to former chairman Kayne Steinborn-Busse and the SB Group.

It also revealed the clubs board and management team had stepped down.

It certainly wouldn’t be the first time Wilkinson was linked with a Bracknell return having managed both Hemel and Weymouth since departing Bottom Meadow in September 2022.

Wilkinson of course will be remembered as one of Bracknell’s most successful modern managers, leading the Robins to a ‘juggernaut’ Isthmian League South Central Division One title during the 2021/22 seasons, conceding just 12 goals in the process and would undoubtedly be a popular choice to return with the clubs supporters.
