Yateley United see title-winning step down

Yateley United have confirmed that Thames Valley Premier League title-winning boss Kevin Fitzmaurice has stepped down from his role.

Fitzmaurice was boss of the ambitious Hampshire side for two seasons and led them to promotion to the Combined Counties League Division One at the end of the 2022/23 season with his side winning all 20 matches in the process.

A statement from the club said: “Yateley United Football Club can confirm that due to family commitments, Kevin Fitzmaurice has decided to step down as the First Team Manager.”

In the Twitter thread announcing the news, the club confirmed that Fitzmaurice would stay on with the club in the role of Head of Player Development.
