Wokingham & Emmbrook Ladies had a tricky 2021 summer and had to take the heartbreaking decision to fold the team as a result and are raring and ready to go for the brand new season.

Under new management in the shape of Stuart Greig, the Sumas, will be back plying their trade in the Thames Valley Counties Women’s Football League and are keen to recruit new players for the squad.

A statement of intention and all details required from the club’s Chairman, Steve Williams.

“Wokingham & Emmbrook FC are pleased to announce that the Ladies team, who had a season off, will be reforming to play once again in the Thames Valley Counties Women’s Football League (TVCWFL).

We will be arranging trials at Emmbrook School 3G on the following evenings in May – Thursday 19th and the following Wednesday 25th – 7.00pm to 8.30pm. If you are interested to play Women’s football at a reasonable level why not come along to the trial training sessions or contact new Manager – Stuart Greig on ladies@wefc.club or 07982 236193.

Stuart will also be looking to recruit additional coaches and assistants to the Ladies team to ensure the new team are well prepared for the new season. More information about this and the club on WEFC website www.wefc.club and WEFC social media.”

We’re pleased to welcome the Sumas Ladies back to the Berkshire football pyramid and wish them every success in their recruitment drive this summer.
