Opportunities open to join ambitious Thatcham Town

Southern League Division 1 South members Thatcham Town have announced their timetable for the unenviable task of choosing a successor to the highly successful Danny Robinson who recently joined West Berkshire neighbours and Vanarama National League South outfit Hungerford Town.

The Kingfishers have confirmed that an internal review of applicants will take place this coming weekend with a series of video interviews planned for next week. From those interviews, a final shortlist will be decided with a second series of interviews to follow and it is hoped that an appointment will be made on 30th May.

The vacant role at the Stacatruc Stadium is bound to be sought after. Thatcham have enjoyed a successful few seasons.  The Hellenic League and FA Vase double was completed in 2017/18 and Town were well placed for promotion before their second season back in the Southern League came to an abrupt end due to the COVID19 pandemic.

The role of General Secretary at the Stacatruc has also been advertised. Applicants with minimum Step 5 or above experience are invited with a covering letter to be sent to chairman@thatchamtown.com

These are two crucial roles to be filled at an ambitious club who clearly have designs on taking a place in the Southern League Premier Division for the first time in their history at the earliest possible opportunity.
