The football season may have come to an abrupt end but a number of clubs across Berkshire are making the most of the extended close season to start planned work on their facilities.
Football in Berkshire caught up with Glenn Duggleby, Vice-Chairman and Club Development Manager at Binfield who talked us through the works taking place at Hill Farm Lane.
Glenn said: “Even though football is currently standing still, Binfield Football Club keeps moving forward. With activity at a halt on the pitch (apart from early out of season pitch repairs/maintenance) we have taken the opportunity to get some house/ground work done”
“With the support of Fast Track Services Ltd, whose MD, Steve Phillips is heavily involved in our youth set-up, we commissioned FTS to do a much-needed repair and re-surfacing to our whole Car Park. The fast response of Steve and the FTS team enabled us to get all the work done safely for all workers and just in time before the UK lockdown. Before and after pics are attached of a much improved and larger parking facility for our club members & visitors and for our community neighbours, i.e. the Archery club, the cemetery and various local community groups”
Last week, Binfield were among a number of clubs that posted images on social media highlighting that work was beginning on preparing the pitches for the 2020/21 season.
