A crowd of VIP’s (and FiB) will descend on Binfield’s Hill Farm Lane ground on Saturday to mark the official opening of their new changing room pavilion and re-modelled clubhouse.
MP for Windsor Adam Maidenhead Adam Afriyie is the man tasked with cutting the ribbon on the project that has been in use since the start of the season after building work commenced in January.
We followed the process from the removal of the old shed, through the laying of the foundations right up to the final coat of paint and it’s fair to say the club have done a great job with the project, not to mention the fantastic refurbished bar area which is now roomier than ever.
The project was made possible thanks to a £185,627 grant from the Premier League & The FA Facilities Fund, which is delivered by the Football Foundation. Binfield FC also secured a grant of £68,374 from the Premier League, through the FSIF – sister organisation of the Football Foundation and the largest funders of non-league football in the country.
Once the ribbon is cut and the formalities are complete, there’s the small matter of an Uhlsport Hellenic Premier Division match between Binfield and Brackley Town Saints at 3pm. If you are looking to come down, make sure you check out our away day guide here.
