A burst water main has been identified as the cause of a major flood in Bracknell Town’s recently refurbished bar at Larges Lane.
The club posted an image on twitter of water filling the new facility saying: “The Bar is shut due to a burst main flooding us out earlier today Gutted but we will be back open as soon as possible!”
The Robins have been pulling in big crowds at the Lane in recent weeks with 409 watching the season opener against Ascot United and 276 in attendance for the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round win over Cowes Sports on Saturday.

Mercifully for the Robins, the damage comes with nearly 9 full days before they are at home again with Winchester City the visitors in the Preliminary Round of the FA Cup.
That won’t be of any help to the clubs midweek opening hours and they confirmed in a later tweet that: “We will work 24/7 to get it back open and ready for the Emirates FA Cup fixture on Saturday 19th August.”
We’re sure the club would welcome offers of help and support, and you can find contact details here.
