Fresh from the news that Wokingham & Emmbrook have been accepted into the FA Cup, the club have wasted no time in securing the services of some familiar faces for the new season.

Supporters and Players’ Player of the season Jack Mullan has signed. Mullan was an integral part of the team, having played thirty-one times for the club during 21/22. Goalkeeper Sean Woodward and Joe Cummusky have also committed to Sumas for another term. Woodward, Cummusky and Mullan played over thirty games apiece for the club last season and will be looking to improve on their 16th place in the Combined Counties League Premier Division North.

Perhaps the most pleasing signing of the summer so far has been that of Jake White. The former Bracknell Town striker has been out of the game for seven months with a serious injury and Wokingham undoubtedly missed his goalscoring talents. Despite missing much of last season through injury he still ended as the club’s joint-second top scorer with six goals in fourteen matches. If the Sumas can get White playing regularly there’s no doubt goals will follow.

Wokingham & Emmbrook begin their pre-season on Saturday 2nd July at Emmbrook School against Knaphill.
