Holyport manager Derek Sweetman will need to call on all his managerial experience as the Summerleaze side bid to reach the final of the Hellenic League Subsidiary Cup on Tuesday night.

Sweetman’s side host Hellenic League Division One East leaders and champions elect Burnham at Summerleaze Village on Tuesday night.

The South Buckinghamshire side can only be caught by Thame Rangers in the league and a win in their final game of the season against bottom side will see the blues take the title and win promotion back to the Hellenic Premier at the first attempt.

Holyport have not exactly been slouches in Division One East this season, sitting fifth in the division, but speaking to Football in Bracknell, Sweetman said: “We are expecting a very tough game tonight.”

Sweetman said he would be without 32 game Alan Ackerman and 38 game Sam Whitfield for the semi final.

The winners will face either Easington Sports or Malmesbury Victoria in the final – a game also being played on Tuesday night.
