Luke Turkington: ‘It was an even game but Woodley got the rub of the green’

Mark Pugh was at Woodley United vs Sandhurst Town in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Division 1 East and spoke to Fizzers boss Luke Turkington after the match.

Turkington said his side had a game plan going in to the match that involved a little more ‘route 1’ than he or his side liked but it was necessary on a ‘typical winter pitch’.

The Fizzers manager admitted he was disappointed with the result, particularly as it meant two defeats in a row for Sandhurst, albeit against the two top sides in the division.
