There’s only 48 hours to go until Bracknell Town and Windsor play their first ever Buildbase FA Vase Quarter Final matches – both against EBAC Northern League sides who have dominated the FA Vase in recent times with Northern League sides winning eight of the last nine Vase finals.

As such, Marske United (who travel to Bracknell) and Stockton Town (who host Windsor) are the two favourites to win the FA Vase followed closely by the Robins with Windsor the rank outsiders.

FA Vase Outright Winner odds:

  • Marske United 2/1
  • Stockton Town 7/2
  • Bracknell Town 5/1
  • 1874 Northwich 5/1
  • Thatcham Town 10/1
  • Melksham Town 10/1
  • Leighton Town 16/1
  • Windsor 25/1

Here’s our preview, form guide and odds for the Berkshire sides quarter final matches.

Bracknell Town vs Marske United

This should be a good match with both sides evenly matched. The Robins have won four of their last five in all competitions with the sole loss being to Slough Town in the County Cup – a side who play two levels higher at step 3.

Marske have won all five matches but have only played once since the FA Vase Fifth Round almost three weeks ago.

The Robins are very good going forward and do have the advantage of playing on the Larges Lane 3G but most teams train on 3G surfaces now so it’s something Marske should be used to.

Odds: Bracknell Town: 11/8, Draw: 7/2, Marske United: 11/10. Figures from BetVictor

Verdict

There’s very little to split the teams with the bookies and it should be a close match. £10 on a Bracknell win returns £23.75 whilst £10 on a Marske win returns £21.00 so you can see how evenly matches they are.

The value bet could be on the draw with the 7/2 odds returning £45 from a £10 bet and the match could very well go to extra time.

Bracknell are unbeaten in the league at home with twelve wins and one draw and we fancy the Robins to progress through in a tight encounter possibly after extra time.

Stockton Town vs Windsor

Stockton are clear favourites for this match but when has that ever bothered Windsor who have been written off in almost every round and they entered at the very first hurdle (First Round Qualifying) so have obviously played well to reach the last eight.

The hosts have a 3G pitch but Windsor’s pitch is probably the best in the Hellenic League so whilst it’s advantage Stockton pitch wise it’s not like the Berkshire side are not used to playing on a flat, well kept surface.

Both teams have won two, drawn one and lost two of their last five matches. Windsor’s last five matches were the FA Vase Fifth Round as well as league  encounters against the 1st, 2nd, 6th and 7th placed sides so whilst it’s a hard run of matches, it will stand them in good stead.

Odds: Stockton Town: 4/11, Draw: 18/5, Windsor: 19/4. Figures from BetVictor

Verdict

Stockton are clear favourites with the bookies. You would need to bet £11 just to win £4 and the bookies don’t really give Windsor a chance.

There’s value in Windsor fans betting on both the draw and the Windsor win. A £10 bet on the draw returns £46.00 whilst £10 on a Windsor win returns £57.50. Feel free to bet less but we’d definitely have a bet on the draw and the Windsor win. To put this into perspective, a £10 on Stockton to win would return only £13.64 proving their heavy favourites tag.

Sorry Windsor fans but we can  see a narrow Stockton victory here. We are however very happy to be proved wrong and have been on more than one occasion this campaign, Windsor have been underdogs with the bookies in FA Vase matches but have prevailed so we are hoping for the same again.
