Someone at Kintbury Rangers has very good handwriting. That was the Football in Berkshire verdict after seeing the team board for the Wessex League Division One tie between Rangers and Blackfield & Langley.
And it really is very tidy. We’re not doing anyone down, writing at that angle, going further and further down the board is really really difficult.
Unless it’s removable – but still the point stands..

Being that neat and consistent is really quite impressive.
It led to this imagined situation at the 2026 Berkshire Football Awards:
Paul Watson stands and looks across Double-Barrelled Brewery, he is handed an envelope. He looks confused. He speaks: “The next award, is very niche,” he says nervously, unsure if he is being set up.
He reads it out: “Best handwriting on a vertical team sheet screwed on to the side of a club house.”
Stopping himself to look at the crowd, the crowd look back. Perplexed, unsure.
He continues, “Just one nomination, the winner is Kintbury Rangers.”
In quick succession, the crowd gasps, starts to grumble “I thought the handwriting at Ascot was very neat,” mumbles one audience member, the winning photo hits the screen, the crowd rises as one, applauds, cheers of KINT-BER-Y KINT-BER-Y echo across Reading and off into the night towards Swindon.
The curtain falls, fade to black.
