Caversham guest panel 1

Caversham United secure some serious guest panelists for ten year kit competition

Caversham United have launched their infamous kit competition for another season and this year they’ve secured the services of some pretty decent guest panelists in order to help them select the next Goats attire.

Ric Dennis – founder of HG Sportswear. He’s an elusive guy but the club confirmed this also means HG Sportswear will be on board as their kit provider once again. They haven’t done too shabbily so far!

Rob Warner – Oh no big deal, Rob just designed the kit that Italy won the World Cup in in 2006. And as a special bonus, whoever wins the public vote will get free access to the kit design course at Rob’s company Spark Design Academy.

Josh,The Kitsman – With an impressive social following having only started the account 5 years ago, Josh a thing or two about what gets the shirt company twitching.

We asked the club why they’d switched things up and added a guest panel this year and Club Chairman, Paul Gutteridge, had the following to say, “As it’s the tenth anniversary of the club, and therefore a special year, we wanted the competition to be a bit special too. So we decided to replace* the internal club panel who sift entries with a range of people in the know when it comes to football, kits and both!”

*the club does still have some say, however. Each of our 4 team’s captains gets a vote, and there’s a “Chairman’s Choice” pick too!

Freya Quinton – Freya is a fashion designer who’s also a big Watford fan, so big in fact she featured in The Hornets latest kit campaign.

Chris Stark – He’s a former Radio 1 DJ who currently hosts the Breakfast Show on Capital. He’s already the proud owner of a couple of Caversham shirts. Balls to Cancer are a big part of the Caversham campaign as shirt sponsors and Chris recently revealed he’s going through treatment for the disease himself.

Dave Kitson – A Royals legend in his own right and the star of Caversham’s Sunday League Day escapades in 2024, scoring a brace for the Goats. He’s a regular supporter of the Goats so the perfect final piece to the panel puzzle.

The club will shortly be in deliberations for the final 32 shirts in this year’s Caversham United Kit Competition.
