Football in Berkshire operates several WhatsApp communities – local football chat and breaking news channels.
As the groups grow, we have put in place a form to fill out to ensure only real users are added to the chat groups.
There is no such issues with the Breaking News channel, you can join that right now by clicking here.
However, if you would like to join the chat groups, please fill out the form below and we’ll send you a link which will be live for 24 hours – after that period of time you will need to apply again.
Terms and Conditions for joining the Football in Berkshire WhatsApp community
The aim of the group is to bring together lovers of the grassroots game in Berkshire. Typically people share scores on matchdays, share knowledge and links to grassroots/non-league/women’s football content, any football rivalries are left at the door.
We do have a few rules though:
- If you wouldn’t say it to someone’s face, don’t say it.
- Think before you type. You don’t know everyone that is in the group (we once had someone complain about a linesman at a game, it turned out the linesman was a member of the group, for example)
- Please keep it civil. Think about the language you use, what you are sharing and whether both of these are appropriate
- Football in Berkshire has no control, and is not responsible for screenshots that may be taken (see rule 2)
- You are welcome to share links to relevant grassroots/non-league/women’s football content from any site – it is not an FIB content-only space
- Admission to the group is at the admins discretion. A decision to remove you is final and at the discretion of the Admin team
- Breaching of any of the above rules may result in your removal from the group. As per rule 6, this is at the discretion of the Admin team
For transparency, the admin team consists of Tom Canning and Abi Ticehurst.
