Langley’s Jodie Davis is up for a Berkshire Football Award in the category of Physio of the Season.
One nomination for the award said: “Jodie has come in as physio this season and her help is invaluable on matchdays, training nights and in helping players rehab to help them recover from injuries. Well done Jodie on always being proactive helping players with ideas on how to recover after games and how best to prepare before games. She’s kept us strong this season.”
Another added: “Jodie has had a brilliant season as Langley’s physio, she’s had four ACL ruptures, a broken elbow, multiple head wounds and gashes. Jodie is in her third year at Brunel University and whilst tackling her dissertation, she’s managed to keep Langley FC players running.
“No challenge is too difficult for Jodie, her calm touch, her patience (especially when players don’t listen to her programs!), Jodie has really come a long way, constantly watching studying and reading to enhance her knowledge and make sure everyone is safe.
“I’ve never seen such a busy season with injuries and Jodie’s hard work has been relentless with training programs, constantly getting medical updates from players, meeting players after hours to make sure they come back as fit as possible and seeing some awful injuries. Jodie is a breath of fresh air, with a wicked sense of humour and it’s an honour to have Jodie at our club.”
