Finlay Ward is up for a Berkshire Football Award in the category of Physio of the Season.

The nomination we received for this award said: “Fin is integral to Maidenhead United Women’s team and the club as a whole. He is physio/sports therapist for both the Men’s and Women’s teams and the Development team when he can, this includes match days and training.

“Fin travels himself all over for the Women’s games, last season they clocked up 3,500 away miles! Often after a long away day with the Men’s team on a Saturday. Having Fin onboard for the players and at our Women’s games in particular in the last 18 months has been a game changer, the team have suffered some nasty injuries and having Fin there has made a huge difference, in the confidence and well-being of the team and management knowing they have his expertise and capabilites at hand.

“Fin has often gone beyond helping the Maidenhead players, helping injury-stricken opposition players as well as poorly spectators. Fin has been an integral part of the backroom staff again this season.”
