Isthmian League South Central Division One Thatcham Town have made a trio of signings to bolster their squad after a solid start to the season.
The Kingfishers have re-signed former Reading FC Academy star David Nyarko who played five times for the club on loan from the Royals last season – scoring six goals including one that was nominated for a Football in Berkshire Goal of the Month.
Meanwhile the Blues have also added defender Curtis Angell, recently departed from Hungerford Town and full back Kyle Daniel-Spray – another player with Reading connections.
Angell in particular is an experienced signing having played National League South football with Hungerford, and a veteran of Thatcham’s FA Vase winning side having made 120 appearances.
Speaking on the Kingfisher’s social media page about the signing of Nyarko, manager Yashwa Romeo said: “Having David come in is a massive lift for the club & the players. I’ve been keeping an eye on David throughout pre season and through the season, I managed to twist his arm to come to Thatcham & just enjoy football again.
“In his month loan spell from Reading last year he scored 6 goals in 5 games, so hopefully he can replicate that sort of form again & was a fans favourite in that short time he was here.”
