When the 2023/24 FA Cup First Qualifying Round draw takes place

The opening rounds of the 2023/24 Emirates FA Cup are all but complete, and if your side is still in it you are probably wondering about the draw for the First Qualifying Round.

As with most early rounds, while some teams have exited, a new raft of sides will be making their first appearances of the season – and in the FA Cup First Qualifying Round it is the teams from Step 3 of the English Football Pyramid (so the Southern, Isthmian and Northern Premier Divisions) including Bracknell Town and Hungerford Town.

But when is the FA Cup First Qualifying Round draw?

Well, usually the draw takes place the Monday following the completion of the previous rounds fixtures – so in this case Monday 21st August 2023.

The draw is typically published at 1pm on that day. However, this season the FA have not been so forthcoming with the date and time of the draw release so for the moment we don’t actually know.

However, if it’s not Monday at 1pm I’ll eat my hat.

FA Cup First Qualifying Round ties are due to take place on the weekend of Saturday 2nd September 2023.
