Promoted Yateley United have moved quickly to appoint a new boss following the departure of Thames Valley Premier League title-winning manager Kevin Fitzmaurice.

The North Hampshire side won the TVPL with relative ease, winning all 20 games and in the process earned promotion to the Combined Counties League Division One with the club’s Sean Devereux Park ground deemed up to scratch by the FA.

Fitzmaurice has stepped into a Head of Player Development role and Yateley have appointed Sam Wilson to lead the sides assault on the Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League for 2023/24.

Wilson has previous experience in the dugout with Fleet Town and Ash United, he was with the former as First Team coach at the start of last season who he joined after a spell managing Ash in the Wessex League.
