Bracknell Town are back in the Berks & Bucks County FA Senior Men’s Cup Final after beating MK Dons 2-1.

It is the second time the Robins have beaten the Dons after a famous Michael Buck goal earned a 1-0 win in November 2008.

Bracknell enjoyed a rollercoaster first half to lead 2-1 at the break through Jordan Esprit and Joe Grant with the latter substituted after goalkeeper Chris Grace was sent off for bringing down Joel Anker.

He was replaced by striker Ben Harris who took the gloves but he could do little about the resultant spot kick that made it 1-1 on the half hour.

If that wasn’t enough, Bracknell missed a penalty of their own to close out the opening 45 minutes.

Bracknell will now face old rivals Marlow in the County Cup Final after the Buckinghamshire side beat Reading FC 5-4 on penalties. The final is due to be played at Ascot United with date to be confirmed.

There is no let up for Bracknell now, the Robins travel to Truro City on Wednesday night for a crucial Southern League tie. Bracknell’s next fixtures are here.
