Tia Primmer hits the winner again for Reading FC Women

Reading come from behind again with Primmer netting the winner at Everton

The run continues for Reading FC Women in the FA WSL as young prospect Tia Primmer scored the winner for the second weekend in succession as Reading beat Everton 2-1.

Academy graduate Primmer was a late substitute for Justine Vanhaevermaet at Everton on Sunday afternoon and was alert to poke home the winner after the Royals had fought back from a goal down.

The previous week, Reading fought back from 2-0 down at Brighton with midfielder Primmer scoring the winner, and it was ‘same again’ this weekend.

Everton had led for most of the game when Anna Anvegard scored for the Toffees after just five minutes and it took until the 74th minute for Reading to level.

Natasha Dowie, a January FA WSL Player of the Month nominee, was the one to get the leveller, scoring from range and Primmer, on in the 82nd minute got the winner with two minutes left on the clock.

The win makes it five league wins in a row for Kelly Chambers side who face a quick return to Brighton on Sunday 13th February for their next fixture.
