Goalscorers (or goalkeeper if clean sheet)
WS: Ray Barry, Danny Isaiew, Blue Caswell, Marko Tidswell x2, James Phillips
TVR: N/A
Your player of the match
WS: Marko Tidswell. Ran all day long and caused the back line lots of trouble. Deserved his 2 goals (even though he should have had 4 more 😉)
TVR: Paul Barker created 3 clear cut chances that were wasted by team mates which would of made the game a lot closer and more interesting and was unlucky not to come away with 3 assists.
Best moment of the match
WS: Jimbo Phillips first game back this season (following the birth of his daughter last September) – scoring on his return
TVR: 2 chances created in quick succession in the first half at 0-0 beautiful football to carve them out but unfortunately striker Josh Dunn unable to take either but the football was very good
Most ‘Sunday League’ moment of the day?
WS: Our goalkeeper and right back almost coming to blows 2 minutes into the game
TVR: Matthew Catt come on the play left-back with 15 minutes to go wearing his new sports glasses. The ref asked him to take them off, 2 minutes later the ref said they were safe and he could have them back on and Matt pulled his hamstring running over to put them back on and had to be replaced
Absolutely anything else?
WS: Thames Valley were a credit – play in the right spirit.
TVR: Scoreline was harsh on Thames Valley Railway. Woodley were clinical and took there chances well but the Locomotives never gave up and created plenty of chances and if they’d taken a couple it would of been a interesting game
