The weekends Bracknell Sunday League review in brief

Tony Hardy reviews the weekends Sunday League action

Both Panthers and Raglan crashed out of the Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup, with Panthers involved in a 13-goal thriller with FC Bentons that ended 5-8. Raglan lost out by 1-4 to former Bracknell Sunday League side FC Meta.

Eight Bracknell Sunday League teams made it into the hat for the 3rd round draw – AFC Dukes, Newbold, Crowthorne FC, Sandhurst FFC, William Twigg, Ashridge Park Royals, Braybrooke Athletic and Woodley Saints. Junior Trophy holders Bearwood Wanderers went out.

Premier Division

Crowthorne Inn won the days top fixture in the Division beating Bracknell Rangers 2-0. The win moves Inn top, Rangers drop to 3rd.

A 3-1 win for FC Fernhill over Loveman United moves the reigning Champions into 2nd place.

Division 1

A 4-1 win for Athletico Ascot over Wokingham & Emmbrook TMW saw them move top.

Winkfield are off the mark with a 6-3 win against fellow-strugglers Bracknell Athletic.

Division 2

Bracknell Corinthians moved into 2nd place, 2 points behind leaders Bearwood, with a 6-1 win against Panthers Reserves. Panthers remain rooted to the bottom.

Division’s 3 & 4

No change at the top in Division 3 with AFC Dukes clear by 3 points; Running Horse made progress up the table after beating Hope & Anchor 5-3.

Bracknell Cavaliers Reserves made it 5 wins from 5 and stretched clear at the top of Division 4 by 5 points, beating Finchampstead A by 3-1.

Bracknell Athletic U21’s secured their first win of the season by 4-3 against Bracknell Titans. That win moves Athletic off the bottom of the league.
