A bit of good news for Binfield supporters going in to the 2019/20 Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division season with the news that centre back Idris Kamara was returning to Hill Farm Lane.
Kamara – who played nine times for Binfield last season – had been a target for manager Roger Herridge last summer but the defender opted for Isthmian League side Marlow after leaving Woodley United, but in February 2019 Herridge finally got his man.
At the time of his sigining, Herridge said to Football in Berkshire: “I wanted to sign him in the summer. I said we needed another dominant centre back so Idris is just perfect.”
A post from Binfield on twitter said: “Ahead of tomorrow’s pre season friendly at Wallingford Town we are pleased to announce the re signing of Idris Kamara. A dominant centre back, Iddy made a big impression when he joined mid season from Marlow.”
The Moles will have a new look centre back pairing next season following the retirement of Jeff Brown and the transfer of Gary Smith to AFC Aldermaston.
