The weather played havoc on the local football fixtures this weekend with three matches being postponed and one being abandoned due to the rain and cold conditions.

In the one game that did survive, Eversley & California travelled to face Bedfont & Feltham in the Combined Counties League Division One. The home side did not take long to emphasise their free-scoring reputation as they took the lead within 5 minutes of the match starting.

The Boars were not behind for long however as Connor Allston got on the end of a corner to head his side back onto level terms.

Just before half time Bedfont retook the lead by converting from a corner of their own and they went into the break 2-1 up. In the second half the weather made it difficult for both sides and neither were able to add to their scores. Despite the defeat Eversley can take heart from a good performance against one of the best sides in the league in tough conditions.

The game between Holyport and Woodley United kicked off before being abandoned at half time. The score was 2-2 at a wet and cold Summerleaze Village, but the referee decided the pitch was no longer playable and the sides did not come out in the second half.
