Reading City got back to winning ways on Monday night at Scours Lane after a turbulent few weeks in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division.
City twice came from behind to beat a Royal Wootton Bassett Town side that had TJ Bohane leading the line 4-3 but went in 1-0 down at half time.
Sal Abubukar scored twice in the second half to give Rob Creech’s side a 2-1 lead before Bassett scored twice themselves, their third from the penalty spot.
Reading City were level again when Austin Best fired in from 40 yards and captain Adam Cashin-Murray won it with an 85th minute strike – their first in four Hellenic League matches.
Speaking after the game to City’s twitter account, Creech said: “Last night we turned our dominant possession in to goals, fantastic all round team performance, we showed a high level of desire and quality in offensive positions.”

There’s plenty of local Tuseday night football action as well with Ascot United and Bracknell Town both playing amongst others. The midweek long list is here.
