Woodley Saints fly Bracknell Sunday League flag in County Cup and busy league programme

There’s plenty of Bracknell Town & District Sunday League action this weekend weather permitting of course following this rather wet week.

In the Premier Division, second placed Twigg Vets can close the gap on leaders Crowthorne Inn (who are without a fixture) as they face FC Fernhill (6th).

Other fixtures see Bracknell Cavaliers (8th) v Golden Farmer Rangers (7th), Finchampstead Athletic Sunday (4th) v Morale Madrid (5th) and Wokingham & Emmbrook TMW (9th) v FC Meta (3rd).

In Division 1, basement side Sandhurst FFC (11th) host  table toppers WAB who are thirteen points clear so it could be a long ninety minutes for Town although they did well in the reverse fixture played in October losing 31.

Other fixtures in the division are Ashridge Park (10th) v Loveman United (2nd), Binfield Royals (6th) v Berkshire All Stars (8th) and Hurricanes (9th) v Raglan FC (4th).

The standout match in Division 2 is second vs first as Warfield United entertain leaders Woodley United. Victory for the home side would see them leapfrog their rivals into first place and with a game in hand.

Other fixtures are AFC Crowthorne Reserves (6th) v Bracknell Athletic (8th), Bracknell Saint Germain (10th) v Athletico Ascot (3rd), Braybrooke Athletic (11th) v Berks County (4th) and Newbold Collee (7th) v 3M FC (9th).

With Division 3 leaders Woodley Saints in cup action and second place WAB Reserves without a fixture, third place Bracknell Corinthians face Bearwood Wanderers (5th) knowing victory will send them top of the pile.

Other Division 3 fixtures are Silver Birch (7th) v Hope & Anchor (9th) and the Winnersh derby in Winnersh Rangers (4th) v Winnersh Town (8th).

Last but by no means least onto Division 4 which is shaping up nicely with only four points separating the top three. Leaders Silver Birch ‘A’ face Crownwood Dukes (4th) and Whitegrove Pythons (7th) host Finchampstead Athletic Sunday ‘A’ (2nd).

Other matches are Bracknell Royals (3rd) v FC Harmanswater (6th) and Bracknell Titans (8th) v Bracknell Cavalier Reserves (5th).

In the Berks & Bucks FA County Sunday Junior Trophy 4th Round is the aforementioned cup match for Division 3 leaders Woodley Saints as they host Whitley Athletic with a place in the Quarter Finals up for grabs.

Tony is away this weekend so Dudley’s predictions are:

  • Finchampstead Athletic Sunday and Morale Madrid to draw
  • Warfield United and Woodley United to share the spoils in Division 2
  • Bracknell Corinthians to win and move top of Division 3
  • Sandhurst FFC to restrict WAB to four goals or less
