Josh Howell earns Binfield FC a point but Woodley United beaten in Hellenic Premier

Howell fires home from the penalty spot

Binfield recovered from a surprise FA Vase defeat on Saturday to earn a point in a 1-1 draw at home to Wantage Town in the Hellenic Premier Division on Monday evening.

Josh Howell scored a second half penalty for the Moles who gave some much needed minutes to Slough Town defender Guy Hollis but saw Steve Robertson level for the visitors.

The win keeps the Moles in eighth place with a trip to Abingdon United on Saturday.

Over at Scours Lane, Woodley United suffered a 1-0 defeat to Flackwell Heath with the three points sending the visitors top of the table by virtue of playing two more games than Highworth Town.

The only goal of the game came on 19 minutes when Sheridan Campbell fired home.
