Thatcham Town have taken to Twitter to announce that they have signed two new players to strengthen their squad.
First, they announced that midfielder Aaron Parfitt had re-joined the club from Combined Counties side Hartley Wintney.
That was followed up by the signing of Windsor central defender Lewis Leonetti (pictured above).
Parfitt is now back at Waterside Park for a third spell and we think (but are not certain) his last spell was during Colin Millard’s managerial reign with Parfitt also playing under Millard at Reading Town.
Leonetti was with Binfield last season and previously played in Bracknell Town’s youth team under then manager Steve Jenner.
OK so it isn’t a swap as such but Sean Moore has joined Binfield from Henley Town whilst Richard Bennett has returned to Henley Town after a short spell at Binfield.
Midfielder Moore joined the Moles last week and featured as a second half substitute in last Saturday’s win at Royal Wootton Bassett Town.
He’s a player Moles manager Roger Herridge got to see in close quarters when he scored one and set up two goals in Henley’s 5-3 extra time victory in the Reading Senior Cup Final against Binfield last season.
Bennett had been with Binfield since pre-season but not being a regular in the starting eleven he decided to return to the Red Kites and he played in Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at Thatcham Town. Bennett also scored in the Reading Senior Cup Final for Henley.
