Sid Gbla makes Isthmian League switch

Former Woodley United and Berks County striker Sid Gbla has made the move up to Isthmian League.

According to a post by South Central Division One side Met Police the forward will move to Imber Court for the 2024/25 season.

A post on Twitter said: “The Met are thrilled to announce that after finding the back of the net on thirty-nine occasions last term, prolific centre-forward Sid Gbla has committed to the club for the 2024/25 season.”

As well as County (26 goals in 25 appearances) and United (14 goals in 18 appearances), Gbla also featured for Thames Valley Premier League Westwood Wanderers making one appearance and scoring one goal for the Step 7 title winners.
