It will be a very different squad of players lining up for Bracknell Town in the Bostik League South Central Division One next season with a number of departures confirmed on social media.
It’s been a busy week at Larges Lane having seen the departure of manager Geoff Warner and appointment of former Maidenhead United assistant manager Sam Lock to the first team manager role and now the side looks set for a major rebuild in the summer with captain Dave Hancock, centre back Carl Davies, midfield general Jamie McClurg and striker Adam Cornell all confirming their departures.
McClurg, Cornell and Davies in particular were among the first players to join the club when Mark Tallentire took over from Keith Pennicott-Bowen.
Davies himself became player manager of the side after Jeff Lamb and Paul McGrotty departed in 2018 and led the team at the start of the 2018/19 season before handing over to Geoff Warner.

Other players known to have confirmed departures are full backs Ryan Parsons and Joel Jacobs, centre back Matty Day, forward Sean Moore, goalkeeper Chris Grace and physio Liam Day.
As group of players, Bracknell Town have achieved an awful lot over the last three years, 100s of goals, three second place finishes, two Hellenic League Cups, a County Cup, the Reading Senior Cup and a run to the Quarter Finals of the FA Vase.

If it wasn’t clear already, it’s going to be an enthralling summer at Larges Lane.
Here’s what some of the players said on twitter:
Dave Hancock
Today is an end of an era @BracknellTownFC. An unbelievable 3 years and an honour to captain such a successful team but now it’s been decided it’s time I moved on. I want thank the fans who followed us on the journey and all the players who have been part of this squad with me ❤️

I have made the decision to not ‘go again’ next season, having spent 4 years @BracknellTownFC I can honestly say it’s been by far the most enjoyable of my time in football. I won’t be able to commit as much time to the game with the new addition in our lives…….
