Woodley United sign Finchampstead forward for season run-in

Hellenic League Division 1 East promotion chasers Woodley United have added forward Ryan Tye to their squad from neighbours Finchampstead according to the clubs website.

Tye initially joined Finch in October 2014 from Reading Town, scoring on his debut against Maidenhead Magpies and went on to score eight goals in 15 appearances in Division 1 East that season.

Last season he played for both Holyport and Henley Town in Division 1 East making four appearances and scoring twice for the former while scoring once in 12 for the latter.

Tye made one appearance this season for Jon Laugharne’s Finch side but joins Woodley in time for the last 13 games of the league season with United still in with a shout of lifting the Division 1 East title and a Berks & Bucks County Intermediate Cup semi-final at Risborough Rangers to follow.
