Ascot United re-sign striker Ben Knight

Things are gathering pace at the Racecourse Ground with the new season kicking-off on Tuesday night.

The good news for Yellamen supporters is that prolific Hellenic League goalscorer Ben Knight is back for a second spell at the club.

The young former Finchampstead striker broke through to the Premier Division consciousness at Bracknell Town in 2010 spending two season at Larges Lane before moving to Ascot following the Robins relegation to Division 1 East.

After a season with Ascot, Knight returned to Bracknell for their 2014/15 Premier Division campaign but saw his season curtailed by injury while former strike partner Shane Cooper-Clark stole the headlines for the Robins.

Knight joins former Windsor captain and goalkeeper Carl Dennison at the Racecourse Ground and featured in the clubs 2-0 defeat to a young Hayes & Yeading United side on Saturday.
