On paper, I had Uhlsport Hellenic League Division One East fixture between Holyport and Chalvey Sports on Tuesday night down as a home win.
Arriving at Summerleaze, the opening half hour suggested that might be the case but for some terrific goalkeeping by Matteo Giacobbe in the Stabmonks net to keep the scores level at half time.
Chalvey fought back in to the game before the break, and carried that momentum in to the second half when Tom Williams broke the deadlock on 49 minutes and he supplied the cross for a well taken second for Jason Marney on 77 minutes.
The ball flew across goal and was deftly fired home by Marney for his fifth league goal of the season.

Holyport pushed to get back in to the game, but just when you thought the result was done and dusted, Paul Woodhouse popped on with three minutes to spare to make it 2-1.
And Port had a chance to level it with the final kick of the game, a free kick on the edge of the area awarded – I can only assume for a dive from the defender – flew over the bar.
Next up for Holyport is a trip to Risborough Rangers on Saturday while Chalvey travel to basement side Abingdon Town.
