Despite horrendous weather conditions during the latter part of the week all eight Advantage Printroom League Cup quarter-final ties as well as all scheduled league fixtures were played.
The semi-finals of the Senior Cup will be played out between FC Fernhill and Wokingham & Emmbrook TMW and in the other tie newcomers Athletico Forest will play Finchampstead Athletic. Holders Fernhill were made to battle all the way for their narrow 2-1 win against Loveman United, Loveman’s goal scored by Ryan Millward.
Wokingham & Emmbrook TMW fought out a thrilling 7-5 victory against fellow Bracknell Town & District Sunday League Division 1 side Winkfield whilst there was to be no upset in the Finchampstead Athletic v AFC Crowthorne Stiffs tie, Finch winning that one 1-0. The other, an all Premier Division tie between in-form Crowthorne Inn and Athletico Finch finished stalemate at 0-0 after full time. Forest won the penalty shoot-out 6-5.

There were no upsets in the League Junior Cup either with all 4 ties going pretty much to form. Silver Birch Dynamoes beat Bracknell Saint Germain 4-2 and will play favourites Woodley Saints in the semi-final, who made amends for last week’s defeat to Golden Farmer Reserves in the league with a 5-0 victory. Saints goal-scorers were Paul Rake 2, Jamie Burnett 2 and Matt Hill. The other semi-final will be between Sandhurst FFC, who overcame a spirited Crownwood Dukes 6-3 and Winnersh Rangers who beat Bracknell Athletic Reserves 5-1.
