Binfield Reserves opened their Suburban Football League Premier Division campaign with a 4-2 win at home to Knaphill on Monday night.

Ellis Woods side won with goals from Clive Akem-Che, Jamie McCarthy, Jordan Rowland and Josh Smith.

A report on the Moles website reads: “A ground out victory and a man of the match performance from former youth team goalkeeper, new number one for the season Charlie York, meant three points on the board as the Res Dev look ahead to Maidenhead United next week.”

In Central Division 1, Bracknell Town started their own campaign with a 3-1 win over Eversley & California at Larges Lane.

McKoy Palmer, Harvey Griffiths and Leigh Allen all scored for the Robins while Ascot United lost their opening game 2-0 at Abbey Rangers.
