Georgia Bowers, Lucy Holzman-Clarke (pictured) and Alexandra Franken all scored as Ascot United Ladies beat the weather and Fleet Town on Sunday afternoon in the Southern Region Women’s Football League Division 1.
In one of the only matches to go ahead on Sunday afternoon, the Yellawomen narrowed the gap at the top of the table to six points – although they have three games in hand over leaders Oxford City Nomads.
Bowers gave Ascot a 1-0 half time lead on 20 minutes while Holzman-Clarke scored on 54 minutes and Franken sealed the points with 20 minutes to go.

Holzman-Clarke’s 10th league goal of the season keeps her at the top of the SRWFL Divison 1 goalscoring chart by three goals from team-mate Hannah Evans who is on seven.
