Binfield are back on top of the Hellenic Premier League thanks to three goals and a clean sheet against Berkshire rivals Highmoor-IBIS at Hill Farm Lane on Monday night.
Moles hitman Liam Ferdinand gave Roger Herridge’s side a first half lead from the penalty spot before James Charlton and substitute Luke Hayden secured the points.

It’s three wins in a row now for Binfield who lead the Hellenic Premier table by five points from Thame United, although they have played three games more.
The game was the only local Hellenic Premier tie with no midweek fixture for Bracknell, while Ascot United travel to Kent on Tuesday night for a replay after their excellent 2-2 draw with Tonbridge Angels in the FA Cup First Qualifying Round on Sunday afternoon.

There was a full league cup programme on Saturday, with wins for Bracknell and Binfield – but Finchampstead and AFC Aldermaston both exited following away defeats.
Our man Mark Pugh was at the Ascot cup tie, as well as Berks County FC’s 2-1 Thames Valley Premier League defeat to Woodcote Stoke Row at the weekend. The full Binfield vs Highmoor report is on the Binfield website here.
