Our weekly look at what’s being written in the local media includes contributions from the Bracknell News and Reading Chronicle.

The News has reported that Bracknell Town boss Mark Tallentire ‘has some difficult decisions to make’ after seeing several squad players make important contributions in the 2-0 win at always difficult to go to Brimscombe & Thrupp on Saturday.

Tallentire said: “We had seven first team players missing from our normal first team, but those who came in did really well.”

Earlier in the interview in this weeks paper, the Robins manager had said about his larger squad for the season: “Quite a lot of people have been asking me recently why we have got this amount of players in the squad; well we saw the reason why.”

Elsewhere Highmoor Ibis boss Marcus Richardson has revealed he was ’embarrassed’ after his sides 6-0 defeat to Flackwell Heath last week.

Richardson said in the Reading Chronicle: “This was one of the most embarrassing results I have had in football and I was a bit ashamed to be part of it.

“We have players capable of winning games, but I didn’t see enough passion from them tonight. They were just not fighting enough for each other.”
