Ascot United FC delight at injury time Buildbase FA Vase win

It took until the 96th minute, but Gavin Brainch scored the only goal of the game as Ascot United advanced to the Second Round of the Buildbase FA Vase at Hollands & Blair in Kent.

The Yellamen, arguably not the favourites for the game beat the Southern Counties East Premier Division side after playing out a goalless 90 minutes and our man Mark Pugh was there to capture the action.

Ascot will go into the draw for the Second Round without local rivals Bracknell Town who crashed out at Croydon. The Second Round takes place on Saturday 12th November.

United will hope to take the confidence from the win into their next league fixture at Flackwell Heath on Tuesday night, it was only their second win in seven games but could be the boost the Yellamen need to get back on track in the Uhlsport Hellenic Premier League.
